Ever wondered how a flash mob could be organised via social networking?
Last week Jason Bradbury (of Gadget Show fame), organised the first ‘Gadget Flash Mob’. The event, promoted just three days before it happened entirely through the likes of Twitter and Facebook, is a great example of how social media can bring people together. Having followed Jason on Twitter for a while, it was great to have the opportunity to tell him about the new Flip MinoHD, which becomes widely available in the UK on 7th April, and put one in the hands of a top target for Flip.
A day of brilliant sunshine set the scene for the event, held at Somerset House in London. The Kaizo team, armed with Flip Video hand-held video cameras went to find out exactly what Jason would be up to, and to get some footage of our experience.
What followed can only be described as a mixture of music, dance and outlandish fun with Jason Bradbury and Gail Porter (now also presenting the show) both showing off their excellent dance moves. Check out the footage we filmed below.
In fact, both were ecstatic with the Flip Video MinoHD and Ultra units that we provided them with. “Let’s hear it for Flip Video”, Jason screeched as he and Gail hugged myself and Emma respectively. They were so happy! Jason has already blogged about the experience on his official blog, which can be seen here.
Being a flash mob, it was of course, over in a lunch hour; leaving people to return to their afternoons, safe in the knowledge that they had been part of a great flash mob experience.
